2015 Atlantic Ocean hurricane season

There were 11 named storms during the season. Joaquin was the most significant of the bunch. It helped create a stuck pattern that unleashed major floods in South Carolina despite remaining well offshore. Fred also impacted Cabo Verde as a rare hurricane for the region. The season was well below average.
