2010 Atlantic Ocean hurricane season

The first of an active several-year stint, 19 storms were named. Among the storms, 12 hurricanes were one of the most on record for a year. Igor ended up just shy of Category 5 over the open Atlantic.

Twelve storms reached hurricane status. Of those, five became major hurricanes. Maximum wind and minimum pressure are shown.
